No need for science, just read the Watchtower
by jabberwock ini often hear scientists and others complain that some religious people are satisfied with "god did it" as an explanation for everything and are uninterested in what science has to say.. i never felt this way as a witness; i always felt that witnesses were very interested in scientific discoveries.. apparently, i was wrong.. r.stuart marshall is a witness with a doctorate from stanford whose life story appeared in the wt 08 12/01.
consider this telling anecdote from that article:.
the university of california wanted funds to compete with other states to win a six-billion-dollar federal project.

It's even worse if you're listening on the computer (at work) and one side is completely muted because of their network settings!

Yeah, I'm not arguing it.
No, no I'm not either. Like I said, Revolver is great and completely underrated (I think).
BTW I finally got to see the complete "Let it Be" film on Youtube the other day. I've only seen bits and pieces before (I was only 8 when it came out originally). Two things I was struck with -- how tense and angry they all seemed; reminded me of a marriage breaking up. And the second was the rooftop concert. Damn they still had it. You could see there was still magic when they played.
"Don't Let Me Down" is my favorite of the later Lennon songs. "Come Together" and "Across the Universe" are probably better songs of his later writings, but "Don't Let Me Down" has a great sound.

I would recommend the album, Revolver, as I believe it represents their creative zenith. (Abbey Road would be a close second, with Sgt. Pepper being third.)
I don't know about that. What about Rubber Soul? Harrison said Rubber Soul was their best.
They're almost like a double album. I've got no problem with Revolver, I think it's their most underrated album, but Rubber Soul came first and its sound is the original. Norweigan Wood was an original sound (the sitar). Revolver continued and expanded it but followed it.

I can't wait to listen to it, but I admit my musical ear is poor.
BTW has anyone read the Rolling Stones article on the breakup of the Beatles? It came out a couple of weeks ago. They kind of put an interesting spin to the whole thing.
BTW on this same page is a link to a January 1971 interview with John Lennon. He comes off as a real asshole. I didn't realize he was that bitter.

That's a tough break. In a way it reminds me when Adrian Peterson was injured (first game? second?) and OU went on to lose 4 games.
The good news is you got your loss out of the way early. There's still time to rebound from it.
I hope Bradford can get back for the Texas/OU game. I'd love to see a game as good as last years.

by highdose init has been recently proved ( as far as i'm concerned) that paradise the jw view of it isn't coming.
scriptual evidence is so thin as to be non exsistent.

Is it Federal law that a person must believe the findings of the 9/11 investigation?
No, only common sense and logic.
